Black Van Hire Western Timecard Enduro Results 2024
Sept 8th was 4th round of the Isle of Man Centre Timecard Enduro with special tests at the club’s land at Carnagrie and Eairy Beg plantation near Glen Helen. Featuring off road going on the local greenway roads and public roads.
Early morning low cloud remained through out the day and visibility at Carnagrie was at times poor. It was apparent after the first lap that it was too dangerous to set competitive times so the route remained as part of the going, this meant the result was based solely on the times set in Eairy Beg plantation.
Expert
Expert class had only 4 starters. Championship leader Danny McCanney was on MX dad duties. Last year’s Expert runner up Craig Norrey took overall honours 46 seconds ahead of Jordan Corkill who kept Craig honest with times below 7mins for the 2 leaders. Mark Cringle was 3rd almost 2mins back of Jordan with Orry Millward a further 43 seconds back in 4th spot. Craig Norrey takes the lead in the Expert class for Centre Champion but 2nd place Danny McCanney has a round in hand Craig will be attending the ISDE so wont score at the final round. Jordan Corkill remains mathematically capable of winning.
Clubman
Pete Beaumont took Clubman class victory he placed his marker down on the opening lap of Eairy Beg opening a lead that he was able to defend to the end winning by 18 secs from Daniel Lane. Alistair Heginbotham was 3rd only 3seconds down on Lane but unable to claw back time lost on his first run through the plantation. New island resident TT star Dean Harrison was a welcome addition to the class riding in his first timecard enduro gave a good account of himself finishing in 7th place. Ben Hardy recieved a 60 sec time penalty for missing start time due to an empty clutch master cylinder. The championship now looks like a duel between Peter Beaumont and Daniel Lane as Al Heginbotham will be at the ISDE for the final round.
Veteran
Sole competitor Russell Millward took the full set of points with a total time that would have won Clubman class by 1 sec. Russell is confirmed as 2024 Isle of Man Timecard Enduro Veteran class championship winner.
Sportsman
Sam Wheeler took his first timecard enduro victory despite a crash on the Carnagrie sighting lap. Sam's lead was a healthy 45 sec after 2 tests over Harry Kampz with former MGP winner Si Fulton only 6 seconds back in third. Harry is confirmed as 2024 Isle of Man Timecard Enduro Sportsman class championship winner.
